Shipping Containers for Music Venues and Festivals
Shipping containers are extremely versatile, they can be transformed from a simple metal box, to a fully kitted out bar on a surprisingly low budget. They are also fairly easy to move around, they can be moved from site to site with crane equipped trucks, making them perfect for festivals and event company’s alike. Motion Bristol
Motion is a night club venue which is widely regarded as one of the best nightlife spots in the UK. Martin from Motion Bristol got in contact as he wanted to create a two story bar and office complex to serve as an outdoor dance venue.
So far Motion have taken 3x 40fts, 1x 30ft & 1x 20ft all painted black and all are converted with shutters, serving hatches and push bar fire exits. Part of Motions project is to create serving bars, a café, general storage space and with the end vision of double stacking and creating walkways/sitting areas on top of these ‘ground floor’ containers. We have already been commissioned by motion to start the ‘first floor’ conversion work in 2018. Below are pictures of the units in our yard.
Printworks London
Printworks are another event and nightclub venue but based in London, they have a very similar idea to create an outdoor event and festival space which can accommodate a large capacity. So far we’ve helped Printworks with a good number of 40ft shipping containers all painted black and some with a variety of doors and roller shutters in the side. The blank units being used to create walls and structures (as well as being superb storage space) and the units with roller shutters serving. Below are pictures of them on site.
Warehouse Project – Manchester
In 2015, the Warehouse Project superclub in Manchester came to us looking for a shipping container ticket kiosk.
Very specifically the customer wanted a china shipping container that looked as though it has been used and was still a ‘used shipping container’. Cut down to fit the available space on site for the ticket office, with a secure personnel door and serving windows this container was to accommodate the ticket staff so needed a number of serving hatches. Even better is that these hatches can also be closed up and secured with the original piece of the shipping container side wall – the client agree what we produced definitely fit the bill. Shipping Container Canopies
We now offer a range of shipping container canopies, these are perfect for festivals and events as they offer a covered area to house a stage or DJ booth and a covered dance floor
We believe that shipping container canopies can be transformed into a fantastic small venue for festivals and outdoor events. Our range can accommodate up to 17m width and 40ft length of covered space. Therefore it offers covered space to protect revelers from the typical English weather.
The canopies are made from 75mm square box sections. The circular roof design provides additional strength in high winds and allows for wind and even snow. The structure is built from easy to manage, and cost effective to replace, 2m sections. Allowing for cost effective ongoing maintenance. Whilst we don’t’ expect canopy parts to wear, we do recognise in many operational environments that ‘external forces’ may mean that sections do need repair or replacement over time.
