ISO shipping containers are ideal for all sorts of bespoke conversions from workshops to bars and more. We offer customers a bespoke conversion service using either a 20ft or 40ft ISO container or one of our popular range of refurbished containers.
Being strong, robust and secure, shipping container conversions come in all shapes, sizes and specifications.
Shipping containers are becoming increasingly popular for use as bars, café’s and workshops. They are robust, weatherproof and portable and can be cut to any length you require and internally modified to include a whole range of options including insulation, ply-lining, electrics, security windows and doors, along with a range of storage solutions from our very popular range of racking, work stations and tool storage.
Workshops are one of the most requested conversion projects that we deal with and we can produce a single one-off converted container through to a complete bespoke project using multiple containers.
We can work from your drawings or you can opt for some of our standard workshop solutions that include options such as ply-lining, racking, work stations, benches, lighting and more.
Shipping Container workshop Options
Some of the options we can include are:
Ply or melamine lining
Anti-vandal doors and windows
Shipping container alarms
Partition walls/internal doors
When you work with us, you benefit from our experience, and knowledge of bespoke shipping container conversions. You get a final solution that’s dropped to site and ready to go and it’s far more cost-effective than a major construction project and whilst you may not always need planning permission, we advise you to check with your local authority beforehand to avoid any issues that may arise later.
There are numerous options for converting a shipping container in to a workshop so no matter how easy or complex your requirements are, please call us to discuss your requirements.
One of the biggest shipping container workshop projects that we’ve handled to-date was for Eurotunnel in Folkstone.
For this, we supplied 10 new 40ft high cube shipping containers that were fitted out with electrics, lighting and some of our heavy-duty shelving.
The other challenge we were given was to make the best use of a very large open yard so that Eurotunnel could have a dry area where they could work on their own plant and machinery whilst having easy access to their workshop facilities in the shipping containers.
To achieve the best use of the otherwise ‘dead’ space in the yard, we used some of the container workshops/storage units as the bases for our shipping container canopies.
Our canopies can also be used on the top of stacked pairs of containers to provide enough head room to get a double decker bus in!
Whilst we’ve discussed shipping container workshops in this article, don’t forget, we also offer a bespoke conversions service covering projects including custom made shipping container bars, cafes, roller shutter containers, office containers, site cabins, security offices, bike storage units, restaurants, equestrian storage units, container homes for the homeless and many more wonderful projects.
