Product Description

Our chemical store is delivered in flat pack form allowing you to locate and assemble the unit on otherwise difficult access areas. The units come complete with a sump and suspended floor grate and have optional ‘snap-in’ shelf uprights and arms to hold sump shelves.

Our flat pack chemical storage containers are ideal for storing batteries, paints, oils, lubricants and compressed gasses, or any hazardous chemicals in those hard to reach places where a rigid or articulated delivery vehicle couldn’t possibly get to offload a ‘regular’ chemical storage container.

Being flat-packed, this unit has become one of the most popular bunded chemical stores in the UK.

FLAT PACK CHECMICAL FLOOR
The 3m store has a sumped base capacity of 904 litres

The unit comes with a suspended wire mesh floor atop a 904-litre bund with high and low positioned vents. The bund will contain spills, helping to avoid ground and ground water contamination, whilst the vents allow fumes/gases to vent freely out of the store.

This is a unit that is very cost-effective and cheaper than many other solutions on the market.

These flat pack chemical store units are supplied new ex-factory and are quick and easy to install and, for the quality, come in at an exceptional price. The strong profiled steel stores are manufactured in Galvanised steel for long life and feature a double locking system for added security.

The floor has a sump chassis base with suspended floor grate which has a standard 1000KG load capacity.

A protective power coated finish on the doors and the sump base is also included in the cost! – Red RAL3000 as pictured.

The roof section of the man-portable building has two integral gutters for effective rainwater dispersal to all four corners of the container. Unfortunately, these units are not fire rated due to the fact they are flat pack constructions.

If you need to move the container on-site, the unit can be lifted using a set of lifting eyes, even when the unit is loaded.

As your demand for chemical storage increases, you can add a further unit to your existing bunded container using one of our linking kits. Units of the same size can be linked together using either a short-end linking kit or a long-side linking kit. This really does offer superb flexibility at the fraction of the price of having additional building works done to make a larger chemical store.

Need a larger store than this one? See our 4m bunded chemical store.

Flat Pack Chemical Store Delivery

Delivery charges for flat pack storage containers to UK mainland addresses range from £100.00 – £300.00 depending on location and based on a part load (i.e. we try to group our deliveries together to keep the costs down for you) faster dedicated deliveries are available but will be costed individually. Access for a large rigid vehicle will be required and you will need to remove the item from our truck with by hand or with a fork lift. Collection available from our warehouse in Surrey if preferred.

Please contact us for more information or for an all-inclusive price or fill in our online quote form and we will reply with a firm quote for you.

Our shelving guide is designed to assist you in selecting the right number of shelving uprights and arms to suit the weight (UDL) per shelf that you require.

Please note that the weight range for this shelving is 30 – 60kg UDL per shelf – UDL is Uniform Distributed Load.

The shelves are sump shelves, designed to capture any leaks. The shelf uprights are the vertical supports that hold the shelf arms in place onto which, you place your sump shelves.

The shelf uprights simply snap into place so, no need to drill holes in the unit.

The maximum number of shelves that can be accommodated per pair of uprights is three.

For both the 1000 and 1900mm shelves, you’ll need two shelf uprights per shelf and 2 shelving arms when storing 30kg UDL per shelf. For storage of 45kg UDL, you’ll need three shelf uprights and three shelf arms per shelf. And, for storage of 60kg UDL per shelf, you’ll need four uprights and four shelf arms per shelf.

Prices

Shelf uprights – £18.00 each

Shelf arms – £10.00 each

Sumped shelf (1000mm) – £28.00 each

Sumped shelf (1900mm) – £45.00 each

So, for 1-tier of 1000mm shelving you’ll need 2 x shelving uprights, 2 x shelving arms and 1 x 100mm shelf. This will cost 2 x £18.00 + 2 x £10.00 + £28.00 = £84.00.

Shelving configuration

For the 2 x 2m flat pack, you can only use the 1900mm wide shelves (1 per side and 1 x 1000mm at the closed end).

For the 3 x 2m flat pack, you can use the 1000mm wide shelves (2 per side and 1 at the closed end). Or 1 x 1900mm shelf per side and 1 x 1000mm wide shelf and the 1000mm wide shelves at at the closed end.

For the 4 x 2m flat pack, you can use 3 x 1000mm wide shelves (3 per side and 1 at the closed end. Or 2 x 1900mm wide shelves per side, and 1 x 1000mm wide shelves at the closed end.

The following table provides you with the information you require for 1, 2 and 3-tiers of shelving covering UDL ratings of 30, 45 and 60kg per shelf.
