New Company Structure at Budget Shipping Containers
To advise all customers and suppliers, from 1st January 2023 we will be moving all our trading from Consultantsea Ltd to our new trading company Budget Shipping Containers.co.uk Ltd.
In Summer 2022 we purchased Neptune works in Redditch, our new office HQ, this is the first time we have owned our own office building. We have been advised to separate the asset from the trading business hence this company split. 
We can assure all suppliers the private ownership structure remains the same, Whilst there will be a limited trading history for Budget Shipping Containers.co.uk Ltd, we will be undertaking the exact same trading activity with you as has been the case under Consultantsea Ltd. Our staff remain the same, and you have the same assurances and personal guarantees from our Owner and Managing Director.
We would also like to assure all customers that both businesses remain fully UK registered, we and our shareholders have no offshore ownership or interests whatsoever and we pay full personal as well as business taxes in the UK only.
The registered address for both businesses is our accountant’s office in Essex, and our base of operations is our office address in Redditch UK.

A personal note from the Owner and Managing Director
As most of you will be aware I set up this business in 2011 to help people buy shipping containers with a high level of customer service that was at the time severely lacking in this industry.
Most of you who have dealt with me long-term will know that:
- We are debt free
- We are well established
- We always have cash in the bank to cover any trading debts (eg containers delivered in previous weeks on credit terms) at all times.
- We will continue to pay suppliers promptly or early.
Whilst the new trading company will not have a clear trading history, how I/we run this business is not changing and there will be no changes to the way we operate for both customers and suppliers.
I remain 100% shareholder and managing director of both businesses, I have no offshore interests and I pay all taxes in the UK.

Don’t Get scammed
Chances are you may be reading this for due diligence to ensure that you are working with a legitimate firm. Here are some simple tips to try and avoid getting scammed as there are plenty of scammers out there. Here are some helpful tips that you can do to check us out, as well as avoiding scammers in general.
- We run budgetshippingcontainers.co.uk and premiershippingcontainers.co.uk and no other shipping container websites.
- Our staff will only ever communicate to you from an @budgetshippingcontainers.co.uk or @premiershippingcontainers.co.uk email address. We will never use a Gmail account or similar.
- Our bank account name is the same as the registered company name.
- We are members of the Container Traders and Innovators Association (https://www.containa.org/), we have signed up to their code of conduct, you can find us on their membership list.
- You can look up our company reg and vat reg numbers, the company names will be an EXACT match with the company name on your invoice (A similar match is no good, you should be looking for an EXACT match only when looking up company details).
- We invite you to check with any of our competitors (other UK members of CSTA, or anyone else you find on Google when searching for shipping containers for sale or similar), whilst no doubt they will try and poach our sale (good luck to them!). We are also happy the vast majority will be happy to confirm we are an established and legitimate firm. Chances are we will have done some business in the past with them. We are also happy to do the same for anyone else. We’d much rather lose the work to a legitimate competitor than a scammer and we like to think we know pretty much every established UK-based container trading firm.
Aside from this, to help with any assurance you may require that we are a well established & reputable operation:
- We will offer to put £10 of any shipping container transaction to help give you the additional section 75 protection (covers you against us going bust or doing a runner with your cash. Do check out Martin Lewis website or any other respected 3rd party source of advice to check this)
- Our Managing Director and 100% shareholder appears in the majority of our recent YouTube videos, not something scammers are noted for.
- Our website is huge with over 1000 of our own images in use on the website. We watermark all images to prevent them from being copied. Some images may be supplied by suppliers and there may be duplicates of some images elsewhere online, this will be more likely with our accessories.
- We have over 11 years of regular social media content you can review at any time. It is possible to create backdated posts on Facebook, but copying or replicating our content history would be a massive undertaking for anyone else. (we also have a huge LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram history as well, and yes we do Pinterest too although perhaps not as much as the other platforms!)
