Custom Designed Shipping Container for Sports Facilities
Back in October 2017, we were approached by Sarah From Battlesports Glos. They were initially after some shipping containers to covert for use at their Laser quest facility in Newenham Gloucestershire. Having setup just over 6 years ago; Battlesports offer Laser Combat scenarios, Bushcraft and Survival events as well as corporate events and parties. Care of their outstanding success in recent years they have recently relocated to Newnham in Gloucestershire.
The new site required a break area for guest to take lunch and breaks, and Sarah found our paintball kiosk article online – and thought a similar unit could be a very good fit for their new site.
As with most of our custom builds, we offered a bespoke design for this customer. Our previous large kiosk container was 32ft long but Sarah wanted the full 40ft space to be used to allow for more room internally. Alongside this Sarah has a very tricky delivery and we needed to take extra care to ensure we could deliver this container into position well before we built this for our customer.

Whilst very tricky, and with an increased risk of issues we don’t like to refuse a tricky delivery. Often if we can get some good photos and perhaps even a video walk-through of the site we can advise on the possibility of our trucks completing a delivery over grass. We can ensure (much like this customer) that you are well aware of the responsibilities and risks involved to make sure any delivery can go as smoothly as possible. Having any delivery across potentially soft ground will always have risks but we are here to help minimise these with you as much as possible.
On the day our driver managed to get his truck almost parallel to the spot the container was dropped in. A lot of preparation had gone into the delivery to ensure it went smoothly by the site. Our driver was very happy that he was in and out within an hour. We had the access checked, the customer has footings in place to ensure this container sat level without any risk of sinking over time. Keeping the container raised up slightly allows the underside to stay as dry as possible which will increase the life of any shipping container
Shipping Container with Serving Windows
Battlesports Glos wanted a cafe area with seating for rainy days to front onto their fabulous new decked rest area. A slightly dented used shipping container was fine for the customer (this fits in well with the Battlesports theme), but understandably they didn’t want a basic used shipping container to come in its original shipping line livery. For this reason we offered a customer repaint in the customer chosen shade of marine grade paint. The serving hatches are manually operated and lockable. We can offer gas struts for support as well as electric roller shutter hatches if required, but the manual option is is always very cost effective.
A Secure, remote, serving unit that will last for many years to come
All the hatches and main doors on the container are lockable, and a structure like this should offer 10+ years of use with minimal to no maintenance. Occasional maintenance and repainting
The roof can help extend this lifespan considerably. The back of the unit has been given a fantastic graffiti paint job by site and we’re very happy to see one of our old used shipping containers
