Chris Osborne – MD and Founder

“Working my whole career in the container industry, my background is in the specialised container haulage, supply and international shipping sectors.”

I love this industry mainly because of the wide variety of people and projects you come into contact with, but its also immensely satisfying when you can genuinely help someone out who doesn’t know about the industry or how to move their container around.

We set up budget shipping containers as we thought there was an area the whole industry was failing with – helping customers who are new to shipping containers understand what they are getting. We certainly hope our website and helpful team of staff can work with customers to best understand the product they want to buy. Outside of work I follow F1 motor racing, I like to cycle and keep fit and I enjoy following the local Ice Hockey team ‘Solihull Barrons’.”

Adam Hough – Operations Manager

“Working for 7 years in the Materials Handling sector I took a step from Forklifts into Shipping Containers in July 2014 and I’ve been with Budget Shipping Containers ever since! Having previously worked as a Forklift Operations Controller based in Hinckley, just outside Leicester where I live, and now as Operations Manager within the container industry I’ve taken the step from managing people to big metal boxes instead!

Aside from frequenting the local golf courses, and more than enough 19th holes, I’m an avid supporter of 2015-16 Premier League Champions and 2021 FA cup winners Leicester City and a proud husband and father of two”

David Sparrow – Business Development Manager

“Working for 25 years in retail and restaurant management before moving into shipping containers in October 2017, I enjoy helping people find the perfect solution to their needs.

I love that every potential customer has different requirements. Taking a little time to fully understand what people need really pays off when we are able to exceed expectations. I have two teenage children, a cat called Bodiddley, an Xbox and no fish. In my spare time I like cooking, hill walking and spending lazy afternoons in a beer garden!”

 

Effie Touliou – Operations Controller

Effie“Having only a couple of months that I started working with Budget Shipping Containers, I really enjoy working with the team and although I have learned a lot, everything still feels new to me.

Before joining the team, I’ve spent more than 9 years on Sales and Customer Advisor roles. From retail to banking and from banking to manufacturing industry, every job sector had its challenges.

On my free time I enjoy watching new and old movies, listening to music and going for long walks.”

 

Aysha Uddin – Accounts & Facilities Assistant

“Having recently joined the team in 2022 from previously working in management and administration, I am excited to be in a new role that allows me to support the company in various ways.

Outside of work, I am a mum of two beautiful children who keep me very busy! I also enjoy taking long walks, eating good food and going to the movies.”

 

 

Kelsie Kennedy – Sales Executive

“Prior to working at Budget Shipping Containers, I worked in various customer service-based roles. Having worked here for around 2 years now, I’m very much still learning! I find the industry so interesting with all the different aspects that are involved – my role is very varied, so I get to see and be a part of a lot of them which I really enjoy.

For me, one of the best parts of being in this role is the customer satisfaction, it is such a great feeling when you know you have helped a customer out and given them the best service possible.

Outside of work I love spending time with my dog, Mollie and giving her lots of cuddles! I also enjoy working out & keeping busy. I like baking and love good food – hence most of the reason for the gym!”

“Before joining the team, I spent 5 years working in high street retail. Having only joined in October 2022, I am very new to the industry but learning new things every day! I am finding the shipping container industry very interesting and enjoy hearing all the creative ideas people have for their containers.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my dog, Milo, taking him for walks and playing fetch – when it’s not cold and wet! I also enjoying baking and love good food.”

 

Liam Jukes – Sales Executive

“Before working at Budget Shipping Containers, I learned a lot about customer service working door-to-door for the milkman across the UK. While I’m new here and while have learned a lot, I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface.

I’m currently enjoying getting to talk to many different customers and putting my brain to the test with the amount of fun and interesting enquiries we get. After going door to door, I really enjoy having a nice, enjoyable work setting where everyone is super friendly and happy to help. Apart from playing Video Games with my mates, I enjoy watching Anime, PC Building, Free food and/or drinks, and a fun night out with the lads.”

Megan Spencer – Trainee Sales Executive

Megan“Before joining the team here at Budget Shipping Containers, I’ve worked a variety of roles in different customer service-based industries. I’m new to the exciting world of shipping containers, but I’m having fun learning about what we do here and all the different things we can use shipping containers for.

In my free time, I love spending my free time with my three cats, Louis, Luna and Chicken, playing video games on my PC and watching YouTube videos about my favourite TV shows.”
