Chris Osborne – MD and Founder

Chris Osborne, Managing Director

“Working my whole career in the container industry, my background is in the specialised container haulage, supply and international shipping sectors.”

I love this industry mainly because of the wide variety of people and projects you come into contact with, but its also immensely satisfying when you can genuinely help someone out who doesn’t know about the industry or how to move their container around.

We set up budget shipping containers as we thought there was an area the whole industry was failing with – helping customers who are new to shipping containers understand what they are getting. We certainly hope our website and helpful team of staff can work with customers to best understand the product they want to buy. Outside of work I follow F1 motor racing, I like to cycle and keep fit and I enjoy following the local Ice Hockey team ‘Solihull Barrons’.”


Adam Hough – Operations Manager

“Working for 7 years in the Materials Handling sector I took a step from Forklifts into Shipping Containers in July 2014 and I’ve been with Budget Shipping Containers ever since! Having previously worked as a Forklift Operations Controller based in Hinckley, just outside Leicester where I live, and now as Operations Manager within the container industry I’ve taken the step from managing people to big metal boxes instead!

Aside from frequenting the local golf courses, and more than enough 19th holes, I’m an avid supporter of 2015-16 Premier League Champions and 2021 FA cup winners Leicester City and a car enthusiast with a classic mini.”


David Williamson – Sales Manager

“Prior to working with Budget Shipping Containers, I worked for one of the largest DVD manufacturers in the world which included a 5-year stint working for them in Texas (I have the boots to prove it!). Following this I worked for one of the UK’s largest warehousing and fulfillment providers. My ethos is to provide customers with guidance and advice so that can fulfill the customers wants and needs.

In my spare time I enjoy nothing more than spending quality time with my family visiting interesting and historic places around the UK. I am also a very keen motor racing fan and a former member of the BRDC at Silverstone.”


 Sally Sparrow – Accounts and Bookkeeper

“Joining the team in 2014 I’ve enjoyed working at Budget Shipping Containers initially as the bookkeeper, but the position has developed into an versatile accounts and sales role.  Having previously mixed my part time book keeping work with freelance rider/groom work I enjoy being more office based and helping customers get exactly what they want for the best price alongside my other roles.

Outside of work I enjoy horse-riding, cycling and good food.”


David Sparrow – Sales and Operations Executive

“Working for 25 years in retail and restaurant management before moving into shipping containers in October 2017, I enjoy helping people find the perfect solution to their needs.

I love that every potential customer has different requirements. Taking a little time to fully understand what people need really pays off when we are able to exceed expectations.

I have two teenage children, a cat called Bodiddley, an Xbox and no fish. In my spare time I like cooking, hill walking and spending lazy afternoons in a beer garden!”


Stuart Hounslow – Sales and Operations Executive

“Having worked for over 20 years in different electronic retailers I opted to move into the office environment.

Shipping containers may not have been my initial first thought but after joining I can genuinely say that it is much more interesting than I thought. It’s been a great learning experience and I am keen to share what I’m learning with customers daily.

On a personal note, I love playing football, gaming, and going to the gym. After passing 40 I decided that I’m not going to grow up anymore !!”


Kelsie Kennedy – Sales and Operations Assistant

“Prior to working at Budget Shipping Containers, I worked in various customer service-based roles. Having only started here in early June 2021, I am very much still learning – but I can safely say I’m enjoying every step. I find the industry so interesting with all the different aspects that are involved – my role is very varied, so I get to see and be a part of a lot of them.

I find that one of the best parts of being in this role is the customer satisfaction, it is such a great feeling when you know you have helped a customer out.

Outside of work I love spending time with my dog, Mollie and giving her lots of cuddles. I also like going to the gym. I enjoy baking and really, really love good food – hence most of the reason for the gym!”


Jessie – Ex head of Security

We did ask Jessie for a comment for this section but she seemed more interested in a good sniff around the office!

Jessie was our head of security, but when we moved offices recently she was unable to commute to our new office.

To date we haven’t had a single break in so we have to attribute a 100% success rate to Jessie. Commonly any visitors to site will get a meet and greet, and she will perform a basic search to check if your carrying any ‘items of interest’ into site.

Outside of work Jessie’s interests include the Postman, and belly rubs.

This position is currently open and we welcome applications. Salary is paid in doggie treats and belly rubs.
