Chris Osborne – MD and Founder

Chris pic“Working my whole career in the container industry, my background is in the specialised container haulage, supply and international shipping sectors.”

I love this industry mainly because of the wide variety of people and projects you come into contact with, but its also immensely satisfying when you can genuinely help someone out who doesn’t know about the industry or how to move their container around.

We set up budget shipping containers as we thought there was an area the whole industry was failing with – helping customers who are new to shipping containers understand what they are getting. We certainly hope our website and helpful team of staff can work with customers to best understand the product they want to buy. Outside of work I follow F1 motor racing, I like to cycle and keep fit and I enjoy following the local Ice Hockey team ‘Solihull Barrons’.”

 

David Sparrow – Executive Director

Dave pic“Working for 25 years in retail and restaurant management before moving into shipping containers in October 2017, I enjoy helping people find the perfect solution to their needs.

I love that every potential customer has different requirements. Taking a little time to fully understand what people need really pays off when we are able to exceed expectations. I have two teenage children, a cat called Bodiddley, an Xbox and no fish. In my spare time I like cooking, hill walking and spending lazy afternoons in a beer garden!”

 

 

Saffy Marchant – Sales Team Manager

Saffy pic“Before joining the team, I spent 5 years working in high street retail. Having only joined in October 2022, I am very new to the industry but learning new things every day! I am finding the shipping container industry very interesting and enjoy hearing all the creative ideas people have for their containers.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my dog, Milo, taking him for walks and playing fetch – when it’s not cold and wet! I also enjoying baking and love good food.”

 

 

Kelsie Kennedy – Sales & Marketing Supervisor

Kelsie pic“Prior to working at Budget Shipping Containers, I worked in various customer service-based roles. I’ve worked at Budget since June 2021, however I’m still seeing new & exciting uses for containers often! I find the industry so interesting with all the different aspects that are involved – my role is very varied, so I get to see and be a part of a lot of them which I really enjoy.

For me, one of the best parts of being in this role is the customer satisfaction, it is such a great feeling when you know you have really helped a customer out.

Outside of work I love spending time with my dog, Mollie and giving her lots of cuddles! I also enjoy yoga, long walks, working out & spending time with my family. I like baking and love good food – hence most of the reason for the workouts!”

 

Liam Jukes – Sales Executive

Liam pic“Before working at Budget Shipping Containers, I learned a lot about customer service working for the milkman across the UK. While I started back in 2022, I enjoy seeing all the different ways a shipping container can be used.

I’m currently enjoying getting to talk to many different customers and putting my brain to the test with the amount of fun and interesting enquiries we get. After going door to door, I really like having a nice, enjoyable work setting where everyone is super friendly and happy to help. Apart from going to the gym, I enjoy a good night out on the weekend, watching terrible movies (like “The Room”) and messing with my cats – Stewie and Reggie.”

 

Joe Fleming – Sales Executive

Joe pic“Prior to working at Budget Shipping Containers, I worked in the engineering industry for a year after finishing my education, however I felt that I wanted to branch out and enter a new industry.

I am excited for this new challenge and enjoy all aspects of my new role!, particularly learning how diverse shipping containers are and the different purposes each customer has for them.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, trying new cuisines, going to the gym and watching football.”

 

 

Nikita Davies – Sales Executive

Nikita“Having only just joined the Budget Shipping Container team, I am already finding fulfilment in learning about the industry. It’s all very exciting! My career has always been customer based, first working for around 5 years in high street retail and in the care industry for just over a year, which I loved. I can pride myself in my efforts to help everyone where I can and I am excited to be of assistance to you as my knowledge grows!

Aside from helping people, outside of work I love being creative, taking on new crochet projects, listening to music and since being graced with the privilege of my own car, camping, hiking and exploring is very important to me. Keeping fit is also a big one, I love doing yoga, cycling and swimming! All I need in life now is a dog and I think I’m set.”

 

Harvey Latham – Sales Executive

Harvey meet the team“Having just finished my time at sixth form I was keen to enter the world of work, I have had experience in some customer service roles working in a busy pub and a bar, I very much enjoyed these roles and wanted to find something that would expand on the customer service aspect of them. When I found budget shipping containers, I thought that joining the sales team would be perfect for this as the job would contain more customer service and will extend my reach to a large variety of customers and will introduce more practical problem solving that my previous jobs lacked.

I am looking forward to learning more about the industry and what it has to offer. In my free time I enjoy going out and meeting friends, art and walking my dog, whose name is Dottie.”

 

Sean Taylor – Sales Executive

Sean meet the team“Before joining Budget shipping containers, I have worked in the Hospitality industry since I turned 16 and I wanted a change in career. I enjoy meeting new people and I am looking forward to hearing the imaginative and creative ways people plan to use the shipping containers. Helping people has always been something I have enjoyed doing and hopefully I can do that well here.

Outside of work I like to watch and play football, I support Aston Villa FC. I also enjoy cooking and watching films and TV shows.”

 

 

Effie Touliou – Operations Manager

Effie pic“Having only a couple of months that I started working with Budget Shipping Containers, I really enjoy working with the team and although I have learned a lot, everything still feels new to me.

Before joining the team, I’ve spent more than 9 years on Sales and Customer Advisor roles. From retail to banking and from banking to manufacturing industry, every job sector had its challenges.

On my free time I enjoy watching new and old movies, listening to music and going for long walks.”

 

 

Aysha Uddin – Accounts & Facilities Assistant

“I joined the team in 2022, with a strong background in management and administration.

As part of the Accounts team, I support the business by keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

With our focus on selling shipping containers to a wide range of customers, there’s always something new going on, which keeps things interesting.

Away from my desk, I enjoy relaxing through yoga, taking long walks, trying new foods, and watching the latest movies. I’m also a proud mom to two amazing children who keep me busy!”

 

Tania Fitchet – Operations Administration Assistant

Before joining the team, I had administrator roles in various industries, including the public, civil engineering, and telecommunications sectors.

Outside of work, I am wife, a chef, a nurse, a referee, and a teacher (aka a mum)”

 

 

Hannah Smalley – Bookkeeper

Hannah“I’ve spent the past year with Budget Shipping Containers, gaining extensive knowledge about containers and the industry. With a background in bookkeeping from various roles, I’ve been able to deepen my expertise while supporting our sales team and collaborating with suppliers to ensure smooth business operations.

In my free time, I love exploring new adventures with friends and family, whether it’s discovering live music, catching a movie, or trying out new restaurants together.”

 

 

Milo – Employee Wellbeing Manager

Milo the dogMilo is our part-time pooch who keeps the office in check! He enjoys long walks and being surrounded by wildlife (or chasing it across fields).
