40ft High Cube Shipping Containers (Refurbished)

Product Description

Refurbished 40ft high cube containers can be delivered nationwide and are made specifically for storage. Every container we sell is guaranteed wind and watertight, when refurbished they are more presentable and secure than standard used containers.

High Cube containers are an extra foot in height (9’6″ rather than the standard 8’6″), which makes them ideal for storing items that may struggle to fit into a standard height container. However if you don’t need the additional height you may get a saving by looking at our standard height 40ft refurbished container range.

When we refurbish containers we take a used 40ft high cube container, add a security lockbox (padlock housing) and repaint the container in your choice of colour*. Most commonly used colours are included in the basic price, but there will be an additional cost for light colours such as white, yellow or cream (as we have to use extra coats) or specialist paints such as florescent or metallic. Refurbishment lead times will vary depending on how busy our depot in your area is at the time you order, please ask for an estimated lead time.

As these refurbished high cube containers are made from ex-shipping line used units they will have dents and creases in the metalwork, and possibly previous repairs. For this reason we can’t guarantee the cosmetics of a refurbished container. We do guarantee that it’ll be wind and watertight, and have working doors, door seals and a serviceable marine ply floor. Apart from helping to make the container look more presentable the fresh coat of paint will give greater protection from rust and therefore extend the working life of your storage unit.

Inside the container we will check that it is clean and tidy before delivery. We don’t repaint internally as standard so expect to see scrapes and marks on the inside, and possibly some surface rust.

*Please note we overspray the original container colour and liveries with your chosen finish and we do not guarantee shade matching at this basic price. We can quote for sticker/livery removal before painting or masking off door seals/locking bars on request.

Security

We fit a security lockbox to our refurbished containers as standard. these metal covers protect the padlock from attack with bolt-cutters. With a lockbox fitted a thief will need heavy-duty cutting equipment to break into your container so these are a great deterrent. Our insurance rated Squire padlocks are also very secure and fit into our lockboxes.

Shipping

Refurbished 40ft high cube containers are not suitable for shipping. If you are looking for a container to export then you’ll need a used or one-trip container.
