These 6ft and 8ft Galvanised storage containers offer fantastic quality static storage options and they are commonly available in sizes not routinely available from other container manufacturers.
Why – these containers are all built in Europe and not China. The smaller units will often be delivered into the UK after a vey short trip through very reliable ports, allowing for minimal damage to the containers.
With small stocks commonly available in green and blue options, we can also manufacture larger orders to spec giving you the greatest possible flexibility over cosmetics as well as security features and if required electrical connections etc. as the unit can literally be built to your own spec.
Neat, tidy and very cost efficient; these units are very popular for secure domestic storage when a shed just may not cut it in terms of security, or for smaller industrial units or tradesmen who are fed up of working from their garage or expensive lock up. Ideal for everything from motorbikes, garden tools and machinery to finished shop stock, a delivery bay (for overnight drivers to drop or pick up goods?) and paperwork archives for anyone needing to keep records for years
Stackable up to 3 high these units have a maximum load capacity near 10 tonnes and a safe lifting capacity up to 6 tones (depending on exact model and size). Optional fork pockets, high security lock boxes, steel floors, electrical connections and more can be added in factory for best finished results. The containers painted using a cathode dip for the primer and a power coat top layer finish for fantastic results.
These Containex 6ft and 8ft galvanised storage containers differ from the majority of Chinese shipping containers which are made from COR-TEN Steel. One can argue the pros and cons of either material. Both are very hard wearing and arguably if your don’t scratch through the galvanisation layer on these containers they will last potentially longer than an original shipping / cargo container. As these containers are less prone to being based around on their trip into the UK we sell these with the full intention that when sat static on your site they may well outlast our average customer on this earth. You don’t get the chance to buy many things these days built to last in the same way!
We will often suggest these units as an option for storage uses but we do not recommend these for cargo use. The vast majority of container vessels can’t carry anything this small anymore, If your thinking to move your cargo around the world in something like this please contact us for a brief chat and we can likely point you in the right direction.
