Product Description

This modular building is an example of a Containex modular space we created especially for Manor Park School in Dorset. This was delivered and installed by us in summer 2023. Its important to say that any Containex structure can be heavily customised for nearly any use. Whilst this example was used as a spare classroom and break out space, we can tailor any design for your site and specific use.

In this case, the customer wanted an open plan space that would offer flexible use for the school. Intended as a quiet room or break out space, this can also be used as a classroom or as a meeting space for staff or visitors.

There is a small kitchenette space for tea and coffee making, and 2 toilets which were specified as smaller children’s loos which is one of thousands of factory options for Containex structures. (Yes we will install adult sized loos as standard!). There is also a separate internal space without windows that is intended to have a single bed in it in-case any of the children need some quiet time.

This whole structure was designed to fit into a 4x 20ft modular space. We build these structures from 20ft ‘blocks’ (20ft long x 8ft wide) that are build in the factory and then installed by our fitters on site.

If looking for something similar it s worth noting this is a reasonably basic or entry level option, a good balance between quality and value for the client with a very specific use in mind. There are for example a range of different door and window options that you can specify, an optional facia to improve its overall looks, for multi-storey options we can include internal or external stairs, we have balcony modules that can be added, and new solar power units arriving very soon.

There is also a new ‘plus line’ range, offering a sleeker and more modern look and feel, whilst still offering excellent overall value versus other building types.

Ideally if you can have an outline idea of the space you need and how you want to use it, we can offer example quotes and plans that we can then refine to ensure you get the features, fixtures and fittings you want inside.

The major advantages of a Containex Modular build

• Price. Price per square foot of finished building space, will routinely be significantly better than a bricks and mortar building.
• Speed, smaller buildings like this can move from initial quote to delivery in under 6 months, bigger structures don’t’ take much longer at all. The onsite build for this unit took under 3 days with a small instillation team, bigger structures may only take a week or two to build on site (and we will have a bigger install team on these projects)
• Flexibility. Sell this structure back to the factory when you’re finished with it or add on additional modules with relative ease if your site evolves over time. They can also be packed down moved, and re-built at a different location if every required.
• Any size: From a smaller modular space like this, to a multi-storey office block complex housing hundreds of staff, and everything else in-between can be achieved with relative ease.
• Full turn-key solution. You provide a concrete base (we even give you plans for this, or can quote speerately for supply of concrete base),  you ensure any planning requirements are met (yes we can help here too if needed), and we need a skip or large bin space for our packing material. We do all the rest for you with our qualified and fully insured instillation team.
• Quality, fully insulated, lined, with electrics. Meets or exceeds UK building regs. High quality fixtures and fittings.

What’s the catch?

Really very little by way of catches here. Containex have been building modular structures, to all EU building standard for over 30 years. Tried and tested they are the leading (we may suggest the only sizeable) modular building supplier in Europe.

As agents, we are your local partners for any project. we will deal with the factory for you, take deliveries into our local depot and ‘stage’ your build from our local depot. This will involve co-ordinating delivery of items to site, a crane to help with the build, and our Containex approved instillation team on site getting this build for you quickly and easily. We are also here to help manage any project throughout, helping ensure your base is correctly installed and that everyone has propper communications and knows what is happening and when. We also cover all currency payments & risks, import duties, shipments intot he UK, and provide you peace of mind that an experienced and capable local supplier is on hand to undertake this project for you.

We are there throughout the process, to help ensure this is completed as you need, and if required we will sort any snags out as well in the unlikely event some parts are either missing, or get broken during the build.

The major drawback or trade off in terms of achieving superb value is the makeup of any building must be designed around 20ft ‘blocks’. The factory builds all of these building in 20ft ISO block or modules that are then transported to site and then installed by our instillation teams. We obviously make single spaces our of multiple modules, but the building as a whole will need to be divisible by, or built from any number of 20ft long x 8ft wide blocks, in a huge range of different possible configurations.
