Our galvanised flat pack storage containers are an ideal range for anyone wanting a smaller storage unit. These 2 x 2.1m storage containers come flat packed allowing each panel to be carried into position and built in situ. (we also offer a 3x 2.1m and 4x 2.1m unit in this same range)

• Easy to build, you will need a socket set (with 13 and 19mm sockets), a screwdriver, a spirit level and some helpers. All parts, screws, bolts and locks are provided. It will take a few hours to build your first flat pack storage container.
• Advertised as a 2-person build, but if you are carrying the floor panel (88kgs) into position, we recommend up to 4 or 5 people to help you move this panel, and you may want more than 2 people moving some of the other panels if you haven’t got big burly builder types helping with this.
• Secure, coming with 2x 5 pin cylinder locks as standard, and with the option of an additional locking bar if you feel they need an additional level of security.
• They are well designed with good ventilation built in, a rooftop gutter/drainage system, stainless steel hinges and a load of well-designed extras such as levelling feet, insulation kits, ramps and more available.
• Colour Options: Available in plain galvanised steel, or with green, blue or grey powder coating options.

To assemble the unit, you will need a 13mm and 19mm spanner, a socket set with a 13mm and 19mm socket, and a screwdriver. All nuts, bolts and assembly instructions are provided.

If you have linked units together, please do not lift or re-position the units. Single (un-linked) units may be lifted using the optional forklift or the lifting eye set.

For demounting and relocating the units in their flat-packed condition, we suggest you only use the original packaging whenever possible and keep the transport bolts handy. (when the flat pack storage container arrives it has 4 very large transport bolts holding all the panels together)

This 2 x 2-metre flat pack storage container is ideal for several light industrial or domestic applications. These units are man-portable (requires 2 people) and are ideal for a range of hard-to-access locations such as gardens, courtyards and other enclosed outdoor spaces.

Ideal for use as tool sheds and a variety of domestic storage applications, additional small storage for smaller retail operations with spare outside space, Secure storage for event stallholders and event managers, temporary sheds, shelters, workshops and more.

Made from 0.60mm box profile galvanized steel panels, strengthened with a galvanized steel frame These units are solid and sturdy and offer an excellent level of protection for anyone wanting to secure their stuff.

The door is 1250mm wide, hinged on the right and opens outwards.

Side door options on flat pack storage containers.

Whilst we offer side door options on our 3m and 4m long flat pack container options, we don’t offer this with our 2m option.

A similar effect can be achieved by simply placing the 2m container at 90 degrees to the perspective you originally thought of to achieve the side door ‘effect’

As there is only a 0.1m (10cm) difference between the length and width of these 2m flat packs, it is simply not viable for us to manufacture side door panels for this size of container as this would only be relevant for a tiny number of customers.

Flat pack Storage Container Colour options

Galvanised Steel is the standard option. Blue RAL 5010, Green RAL 6005 or Grey RAL7016 finish is also available at additional cost.

How heavy is each panel on our flat pack container range?

This is a common question from our customers when buying a flat pack unit. We would suggest that a minimum of two people carry each panel at a time to be safe. If handling the chassis (base) we recommend more than 2 people.  Below is a chart for each of the panels:

Flat pack storage container options and prices

Prices exclude delivery, delivery charges for the 2 x 2-metre flat pack storage containers to UK mainland addresses range from £115-£395 depending on location and based on a part load (i.e. we try to group our deliveries to keep the costs down for you) faster-dedicated deliveries are available but will be costed individually. Delivery for accessories is free when ordered with the main product, otherwise, charges will apply. Access to a large rigid vehicle will be required. Delivery is to kerb-side only. Collection available from our warehouse in Surrey if preferred.

Delivery lead times for our flat pack storage containers.

Deliveries are undertaken on a 3-week rotation service, i.e. we have 1 truck, and this heads into one part of the UK each day with a full load, and this truck will take approx. 3 weeks to cover all areas of the UK (eg we deliver all Cornwall and Devon deliveries on day 1, South Wales on day 2, north Wales on day 3 etc)

Once we have your order and payment in, we will authorise the warehouse to dispatch your goods ASAP. The Warehouse will then tell us when they next have a truck delivering into your area. This does mean with our standard (cheapest) delivery service that we can’t confirm an exact delivery date until 1-2 working days after we have your order and payment in.

Collections from our warehouse in Surrey are available – you will need a truck for pickups, we cannot load these into Vans or allow you to do the same. From experience, there is a very high chance you will damage panels whilst loading and for safety, we do now want people unpacking the flat packs in our warehouse loading area to load boards into a van then.

Please note – if you intend to raise your unit off the ground, we do not advise you to order a ramp as it will probably be too steep to use. This includes using our optional forklift feet or levelling feet.

General information:

Floor – Pre-fitted 18mm grade 3 ‘Norbord’ Canadian Sterling Board that is screwed to a galvanised steel profile frame.

Chassis – Box profile galvanised steel.

Side walls/roof panels – 0.6mm box profile. Panels have been strengthened and the have galvanised steel frame sections at their edges. Roof has two integral gutters for rainwater dispersal at all four corners of the unit.

Door panel – 0.6mm box profile galvanised steel. Has two 64mm Euro deadlocks with replaceable cylinders and a central roller catch. Door is right-hand hinged, outward opening.

Fastening elements – For additional security, additional roof bolts are supplied to prevent external access to the container.

Insulation – Made of steel and 30mm thickness XPS (extruded polystyrene foam (0,03W/mK thermal conductivity ), XPS foam glued on 0,60mm galvanized steel.

Base required – These units are better off on a completely flat surface, however slabs, sleepers etc along the edges are fine or on the 4 points where the levelling feet would go approx. 590mm in from the corner on a 2m Store.

Shelving guide for flat pack containers

Our shelving guide is designed to assist you in selecting the right number of shelving uprights and arms to suit the weight (UDL) per shelf that you require.

Please note that the weight range for this shelving is 30 – 60kg UDL per shelf – UDL is Uniform Distributed Load.

The shelves are sump shelves, designed to capture any leaks. The shelf uprights are the vertical supports that hold the shelf arms in place onto which, you place your sump shelves. The shelf uprights simply snap into place so, no need to drill holes in the unit.

The maximum number of shelves that can be accommodated per pair of uprights is three.

The 2m x 2.1m flatpack can take 1x 1m shelf kit per side, or 1x 1.9m shelf kit per side.

The 2.1m end can only have a 1m shelving kit.

Flat pack delivery information

All units are delivered on a shared load and are done depending on what orders are in your area at the time. We do try to accommodate delivery date requests but can never guarantee it.  Delivery times are Monday-Friday 8am – 6pm

If delivery vehicle requires FOR’s registration then please state this before ordering as this will cost extra and will need to be quoted, if delivery Vehicle arrives on site and we haven’t been advised FOR’s is required then charges will apply.

Unless otherwise stated delivery includes lifting off on your site subject to good access and egress and sufficient room for crane vehicle to setup and offload. In the event that access/egress is not suitable aborted delivery charges will apply.

Flat packs can only be delivered to customers in mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. We cannot deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Islands, BFPO addresses, or the Republic of Ireland. All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over on delivery.

Delivery charges and estimated timescales are specified when you place an order. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Consultantsea Ltd, T/A Budget Shipping Containers shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.

Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by us.

Our delivery vehicle is a 26-tonne Hiab equipped vehicle that is 12.3ft in height and 34ft in length. On occasions, an additional 20ft long trailer may be attached to the vehicle. Please check your site can accept the longest vehicle configuration.

Should you have any access concerns, please send in pictures of the site with measurements and the delivery address so we can check access.

A failed delivery will be charged for or we will drop the flat pack at a nearby location and you will have to manually move the unit panel by panel to the assembly point or re-deliver on a flat bed vehicle at additional cost and you will have to move the panels as suggested.

Collections

All collections of units must be made on flatbed trucks or trailers that have a larger footprint of the unit being collected. Failure to have the appropriate vehicle may result in being turned away.
