These 9ft shipping container smoking shelters are made to order in our Manchester depot. They are finished in a marine grade paint inside & out – and you get to choose the external colour. They are great value compared to similar sized off the shelf items, they are extremely sturdy units. These smoking shelters are made from new, so are cosmetically a lot nicer than used options (works even better when the shelter will be on show to customers!)

The floor of the smoking shelter will be coated with a non-slip paint, or a paint with non-slip treatment. Originally, we provided a non-slip rubber floor internally however feedback from customers was that the option we offer now is much easier to maintain if cigarette stubs are rubbed into the floor. With this option, you just may need a new coat of paint every year or so instead of a new non-slip floor every time.

There is no self assembly required on this smoking shelter, it can be delivered into place on your site and it’s ready to go for immediate use. This is currently the only size we are making in our Manchester depot, however if you are after another size please get in contact with us and we can supply elsewhere in the country. We can make modifications to this unit such as adding electrics or any other features you may require, just ask!

As standard these are supplied with 50% open sides apart from the roof, i.e. a full open front, 2 sides that are 50% window, and a fully enclosed rear. (Please be advised we will only manufacture 50% open sides to conform with legislation). We do not currently offer rental on this equipment but we may consider rentals for long term contracts.

The front and rear bottom rails on the 9ft ends of this container are typically one solid piece, which is your support. As you will be able to see from the picture, the 6ft sides don’t actually touch the floor or offer support.

For longevity we would always recommend as large a hardstanding pad as possible to put the unit on (but realistically we understand this may not always be possible!). So 4 square concrete pads or paving slabs to sit the front and rear bottom rails on should suffice. As long as its level the unit should not twist over time.
