In April 2023 we were lucky enough to get a chance to visit some occasional customers who have over the years purchased 7 shipping containers from us for storage. Adventure Sports in Warwick is a real treasure trove of a site.

Warwickshire’s biggest and best outdoor activity centre

Whether its Clay Shooting, Quad Bike Trekking, Pistol or Rifle Shooting, Laser Tag, Go karting, Axe Throwing, Paintballing, Archery, 4×4 experiences, Hovercraft experiences or even a go on a segway, Adventure Sports on the edge of Warwick & Leamington Spa has you covered. It has a huge offering of outdoor activities for family days out, birthdays and events, and corporate events in Warwickshire and beyond.

With a 110 acre site, we’ve never seen such a huge range of activities available in one place. Easily accessible from the A46 and M40 this site is easy to get to from Birmingham down to Oxfordshire, Worcester to Northampton, and beyond. This year we took this excuse to go and visit our local regular customers to see how their shipping containers were serving them.

Once more, a friendly team, a great setup, and a fantastic site. No tight squeeze to find a parking space and some great spaces for breaks between the fun and games, this site offers 1st class days out for families, friends, or colleagues.

Shipping Containers for secure storage & workshops in Warwick & Leamington Spa

Shipping containers are always popular for secure storage use, and with such a huge range of activities, adventure sports make use of a range of shipping containers across their site. The vast majority of their shipping containers are used for a wide range of general / low-value storage, allowing them to store games and equipment for activities not currently in use. These containers can be spread around the site strategically to ensure that all equipment does not need to be carted over to, and stored in one central place. It allows the site to be flexible & nimble and can mean they can use their space very cleverly to maximise usage.

Most of the containers photographed were supplied from early 2018 onwards, some of the older shipping containers pictured may not have been supplied by us.

We’re happy to report that from the 7 containers supplied, we are yet to have an issue or defect with any of these, and they all look like they have plenty of years left in them when we went to see them in April 2023. This site has always purchased used shipping containers. As the shipping containers are often hidden from view, having a smart and neat container is less of a priority versus having something cost-effective and weatherproof.

Suited Keys for easy access into a site full of shipping containers.

One bit of feedback the customer wanted to stress was the benefit they have had from having a set of suited keys for their padlocks. We can have any number of padlocks made up to work from a single key, meaning they can have 1 key for any shipping container on site. this saves them a lot of time and hassle needing to manage keys (and chase down the person who last had the key you need when they didn’t put it back properly!)

We can even save a padlock combination allowing you to order more padlocks in the future. Reducing admin time and effort for you whilst making your life easier once these have been delivered and are in use. Typically a suited padlock will cost approx 10% more than an unsuited one (£5-7.50ish additional per padlock based on 2023 prices), when considering a site’s operation this is a big time and effort saver for a very small additional cost.

When your site is big, and with shipping containers spread around the site, they recognise this as a big time saver for day to day management. It saves having a big board of keys, and someone to manage it and secure it, (and even then the key you want may not have been returned when you want to access your shipping container). The suited keys may cost a little more initially but can save a lot of time and hassle, over a 10+ year expected lifespan.
