Budget Shipping Containers racking/shelving range is perfect for storing smaller items neatly in shipping containers.
These heavy duty shelving units are capable of holding up to 600kg UDL (uniformly distributed load) – as opposed to the Budget Range which can take up to 175kg per shelf.
Shelving is supplied flat-packed and is very quick and easy to assemble. A rubber mallet is needed (which we can supply on request if needed). There are no nuts or bolts to lose, the units use butterfly rivets to secure each shelf. Shelving units can be fixed to the floor using the supplied metal feet (screws not supplied).
Shelving Specification:
Each bay has 4 shelves, each capable of holding up to 600kg (uniformly distributed load). Shelf heights can be altered as required.
They are made from steel, finished with smart grey powder coating.
The chipboard for the shelves is sustainably sourced according to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) guidelines. Please note that treating the shelves with wood varnish or sealant is recommended if your container is damp or humid.
Bays come in depths of 450mm or 600mm, and widths of 900mm, 1200mm, 1600mm, 1800mm, 2000mm or 2400mm.
How much shelving do I need for my container:
For a 10ft container you can fit a 2400mm bay on each side, and a 900mm bay on the end wall. Either depth works with this configuration.
For a 20ft container you can fit 2 x 2400mm and 1 x 900mm bays on each side, and a 1200mm bay across the end (if you are using 450mm wide bays), or a 900mm across the end if you are using 600mm wide bays.
For a 40ft container you can fit 5 x 2400mm bays on each side, and a 1200mm bay across the end (if you are using 450mm wide bays), or a 900mm across the end if you are using 600mm wide bays.
