Product Description

At Budget Shipping Containers we can modify one of our containers to match your requirements. A fairly regular request we get is to fit electrics and lighting into a shipping container. This might jut be to light up your storage container, or when combined with insulation, lining and additional windows can help make bespoke office and welfare units, or it may be to meet a very specific use you have in mind.

Our depots our nationwide and can fit a container with electrics and lights with relative ease. All our electrical work will be installed by a professional electrician and certification can be provided (on request) for any electrical work we undertake

However you will require your own qualified electrician to plug in and install the container once its at your site. We can build in this service into your quote if required.

All electrical work will generally come with an external junction box for you to plug into and an internal consumer unit or RCD.

Beyond this is you need the work to meet any specific standard (for example if you’re storing hazardous materials you may need to tell us that you need zone 1 electrics installed: electrics that are safe to use when storing highly flammable or explosives). Its also worth mentioning that at times, especially if you have your own on site electrician it may work out cheaper overall to get the complete electrical job done on site once its been delivered (assuming the project, the site and time constraints allow)

Typically for customers who will only need a basic electrical fit out (lights and perhaps a standard domestic plug sockets or two) – we just need to know a rough idea of what you are planning to do with the container. For example ‘we would like 3 lights in the roof, 1 light switch by the doors and 2 double plug sockets so we can plug in a heater / dehumidifier’)

Alternatively, you can use our container quote option to get a quick quotation or our container price match form if you already have some quotations and would like us to beat them on price, however for electrical work pelase try and give us an idea of what you need in the notes so we can ensure your price
