Shipping Containers for Hire
At Budget Shipping Containers we make shipping container hire easy! We provide weatherproof and secure shipping containers for short or long term hire. No worries over maintenance and when you are done with it, let us know and we will come and collect it. All our containers are professionally checked over in our UK yards before they are delivered to you.
We have good stocks of shipping containers for hire ready to go from our 16 depot locations across the UK. We use fleets of crane equipped vehicles to deliver and lift the container into place at your site. All you need is a firm flat base to put the container on, and suitable access for the delivery truck to get to where the container will go with no overhead obstructions.

All prices exclude VAT, container delivery and collection cost.
For long term (12 month + contracts) we can offer insulated containers to prevent condensation, and container lighting kits.
Container Hire Service
We aim to make our container hire service as straightforward and flexible as possible.
Billing and Contract Length
When you order the container we need to know the expected length of the hire. We offer minimum 30 day+, 180 day+ (approx 6 months) and 360 day+ / ongoing contracts. We will bill for the initial delivery, end-of- hire collection and the first 30-90 days hire in advance depending on the hire contract you sign up for. Thereafter we will bill monthly in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer and most credit cards.
Our container hire is available to anyone who isn’t a private individual (businesses, public bodies, charities etc…). Our hire containers are only available for UK based storage use, not for export projects.
Delivery and Collection
Once you have ordered the container we will arrange a suitable delivery date with you. The container will be delivered with a crane equipped vehicle (Hiab truck) and lifted into position at your site. We will also collect it at the end of your hire period.

Container Hire FAQs
Can I export a hire container
Unfortunately not.
In simple terms, too many of them will never come back!
However there are exceptions and other ways to approach projects where you need to hire a container for an export job. Please get in touch and we can help you, even if this doesn’t involve hiring a shipping container.
If you are new to exporting, it may help to know that you can often ‘borrow’ a shipping container from a shipping company for an export job (given certain restrictions) and you may not need your own shipping container.
Do you hire others sizes of shipping containers (other than 20ft or 40ft)
Yes we do.
20ft and 40ft containers are the most common containers in circulation, and easier (often cheaper) to hire. But we can offer hire for other sizes of container – especially if thsi if for long term use.
If your project is only short term you may find that a 20ft or 40ft container is more cost effective, but this can vary a lot on your geography so please get in touch and we can always discuss thsi more.
Do you do discounts for bulk hires
Yes if you want to hire a lot of containers, a discounted rate would apply. Please get in touch for further information.
Can I hire a Shipping Container
Yes we can offer hires to Businesses, or any other organisation (Charities, Councils and public bodies, Schools & Universities etc.), but unfortunately we can’t offer shipping container hires to individuals due to requirements for FCA registration.
