Product Description
Our range of one trip / new 7ft shipping containers arrive in the UK and then get distributed to our nationwide depot locations.
The come as part of a ‘Russian doll’ set starting with 2x 10fts linked back to back (to create the footprint of a 20ft) with a 9ft inside each 10ft, an 8ft inside each 9ft, a 7ft in side each 8ft and finally a 6ft inside each 7ft. Therefore only the 10fts will come with the ‘standard’ container height of 8’6” and standard width of 8′. All of the smaller units will be slightly smaller than the last height and width ways.
With a very high spec and if you are looking for long-term site storage then these are perfect if you have little space available. They typically come in green/blue (as pictured).
They offer excellent long term value and should last decades with considerate use. For added protection against would be intruders, these containers come with factory fitted lock boxes. The lock box shields the padlock to prevent removal of the lock using a jemmy or bolt cutters. And the extra high locking handles make these containers easier to open when placed at ground level.
7ft shipping containers as with all other sizes can be used for general storage, farm storage and building site storage or they can be converted for a variety of uses such as security offices, smoking huts, kiosks and more. Whereas a standard ISO 20ft container will come 8′ wide and 8’6” high externally a 7ft will come circa 5’11” wide and 5’8” high.
Being produced using Corten steel, these containers are corrosion resistant and they will develop a layer of rust over time, this appearance is caused by weathering that allows the surface to form its own protective layer caused by oxidisation of the surface. Weathering steel is quite often used in architecture, a good example being the Angel of the North near Gateshead.
All our one trip containers are built in the factory in China or the far east and have done one trip into the UK. Some minor cosmetic wear may be evident from this initial trip. As these 7ft shipping containers are shipped to the UK inside a larger container we will add that these usually have very minimal if any wear. But you should be aware that this is possible. You can read more on what we deem acceptable in our recent article on the subject.Â
They will come with a variety of floor options; standard marine ply, bamboo or varnished. but unfortunately our offer will commonly be ‘what we have available and ready to go locally to you’, as this will ordinarily offer most customers the best overall value. If you are looking for any specific specs or features of course let us know and we can work around this for you.
Prices vary based on geographical location and of course availability. With good notice on an order we can move stocks to where you need them for cheaper delivery costs (we wouldn’t want to run a container via road if we could send it via rail for half the price for example!).

Technical Information for 7ft shipping containers
Please note whilst we have tried to be as accurate as possible, some measurements (notably internal measurements) can vary slightly with the development and modernisation of manufacturing techniques over time. We recommend considering a circa 1 inch (2.5cm) tolerance. Where possible we have given a range on known variations in dims between ranges but we can’t guarantee this to be totally accurate for all ranges. If you have a specific sized problem or item to load that’s near these dims please double check with us in advance and if needs be we will get someone to measure the exact container for you.
