9ft Shipping Containers (One Trip / New)

Product Description

Our range of one trip / new 9ft shipping containers arrive in the UK and then get distributed to our nationwide depot locations. Typically available in green and blue (as pictured). We commonly have stock in Southampton and London but can of course get as many of each item moved to any UK address with good notice.

They offer excellent long term value and should last 30+ years with considerate use. They come with a lock box as standard which shields the padlock to prevent removal of the lock using a pry bar or bolt cutters.

The come as part of a ‘Russian doll’ set starting with 2x 10fts linked back to back (to create the footprint of a 20ft) with a 9ft inside each 10ft, an 8ft inside each 9ft and finally a 6ft inside each 8ft. Therefore only the 10fts will come with the ‘standard’ container height of 8’6” and standard width of 8′. All of the smaller units will be slightly smaller than the last height and width ways.

9ft shipping containers as with all other sizes can be used for general storage, farm storage and building site storage or they can be converted for a variety of uses such as security offices, smoking huts etc. Much like our new, one trip 8ft shipping containers they are slightly smaller in all other dimensions than ‘standard’ shipping containers. Whereas a standard ISO 20ft container will come 8′ wide and 8’6” high externally a 9ft will come 7’3” wide and 7’5” high.

Being produced using Corten steel, these containers are corrosion resistant and they will develop a layer of rust over time, this appearance is caused by weathering that allows the surface to form its own protective layer caused by oxidisation of the surface.

They will come with a variety of floor options; standard marine ply, bamboo or varnished. Commonly our offer will be ‘what we have available and ready to go locally’ as this will offer best value for the majority of customers, however if you need a specific feature or option let us know and we can factor this in for you.

Prices vary based on geographical location and of course availability. With good notice on an order we can move stocks to where you need them for cheaper delivery costs (we wouldn’t run a container via road if we could send it via rail for half the price!).

Please be advised that these are sold as ‘one trip containers’ and are not brand new. All of our shipping containers are built in the factory in China or the far east and have done 1 trip into the UK since new. Some minor cosmetic wear may be evident from this initial trip. Minor dents and scrapes are reasonably common, as are tire marks inside your container where a fork lift truck or similar may have unloaded goods from inside the container.

Technical Information for 9ft shipping containers

Please note whilst we have tried to be as accurate as possible, some measurements (notably internal measurements) can vary slightly with the development and modernisation of manufacturing techniques over time. We recommend considering a circa 1 inch (2.5cm) tolerance. Where possible we have given a range on known variations in dims between ranges but we can’t guarantee this to be totally accurate for all ranges. If you have a specific sized problem or item to load that’s near these dims please double check with us in advance and if needs be we will get someone to measure the exact container for you.
