6m Flat Pack Storage Container

Flat pack storage containers are ideal for many customers. They are man portable so the are great for hard to access locations like gardens, courtyards, fields or warehouses.

These storage containers are popular for domestic use as garden, tool and household good storage. They are also popular for light industrial applications where a shipping container wouldn’t work.

Our flat packs are supplied ex-factory and you are assured of a very smart, solid and secure unit.

Flat Pack Storage Containers Features

  • Galvanised steel construction for robust and secure unit
  • Double locking system
  • Built in guttering system
  • Lifting eyes included (empty lifting only)
  • Can be linked to create longer or wider units using linking kits
  • 6m flat packs come as standard with double end doors as well as fork pockets. Due to the length of the 6m unit, you will need 2x sets of levelling feet.

Levelling Feet

We use two suppliers for our flat packs and this does mean there are some slight variances between the designs. One of these is the levelling feet.

With one option, the levelling feet screw into the four corners of the unit. With the second option, the feet sit under the cross members on the chassis.

For our 6m flat packs, these will require two set of the levelling feet with sit under the chassis.

For linked flat packs, you will need a set of feet per unit (so if you link 3no. 2m flat packs, you will need 3 sets of levelling feet).

Side and Double Door Options

As standard, these flat pack storage containers come with a single end door. We can also offer side and double door versions so you can make the most of your storage unit.

Single or double side doors are available, as well as a double end door version. Generally a small number of these are held in stock in the 3 and 4m green units.

Linking Units

While these units are smaller than shipping containers we offer a range of sizes to suit most customers. Our flat pack storage containers can even be linked with another unit to create either a longer or wider container if needed. Once linked these containers cannot be lifted. The units can only be linked in one direction.

Colour Options

These units are available in a standard galvanised steel option. There is also the option for powder coated versions. With the powder coated units, we can offer dark blue RAL5013, dark green RAL6005 and dark grey RAL7016.

Easy Assembly

To assemble these units, all you need is a socket set & screwdriver. All nut and bolts are provided with the unit. Assembly instructions are also supplied. It may take you a few hours to build if this is your first flatpack.

With certain units, we can also offer an installation service.

Construction Materials

Flooring is a pre-installed grade 3 OSB 18mm laminate flooring screwed into a galvanised steel profile frame.

The side walls and roof panels are made from 0.6mm box profile. The panels have been strengthened and have galvanised steel frame sections at their edges. The roof has two integral gutters for rainwater dispersal at all four corners of the unit.

The door panel is also made from a 0.6mm box profile galvanised steel. It comes with two euro deadlocks with replaceable cylinders and a central roller catch. The door is right-hand hinged and outward opening.

We offer two near identical designs of the flat pack containers – either from our Birmingham or Surrey depot. The units have slightly different guttering systems, door handles & vary a little in size.

We work with two different depots and depending which one we are using for you delivery will either be via a 26-ton hiab lorry to kerbside or via a 4×4 truck + trailer. If one of these is more suitable for you, please let us know otherwise we will quote the most cost-effective option for you.

Some sizes, colours and ranges of flat packs are only stocked in certain depots. If you require a particular unit, please let us know which and we will quote from the best depot.

All deliveries are Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.

We are only able to deliver within Mainland UK. All deliveries are quoted with kerbside offload.

Shared Load Hiab Delivery

shared load delivery for flat pack containerOur shared load delivery vehicle is generally a 26-tonne hiab equipped vehicle that is 12.3ft in height and 34ft in length. On occasions, an additional 20ft long trailer may be attached to the vehicle. Please check your site can accept the longest vehicle configuration.

The truck will need to stay on hardstanding ground at all times. There also needs to be sufficient room for the crane vehicle to setup and offload.

With these shared loads lead time can be up to 3 – 4 weeks for  in stock items.

4×4 + Trailer Delivery

These are dedicated deliveries to your site only. You may need to help offload the unit from the trailer. Depending on the size of the unit you purchase you may need 2 or 3 people on site to help handball the panels off. If this is not possible, please let us know and we can arrange for an additional person to be sent to help offload the panels.

Lead time is around 7 – 10 working days for in stock items.

Installation is also available with this option.

Collection

All collections of units must be made on flatbed trucks or trailers that have a larger bed than the unit being collected. Failure to have the appropriate vehicle may result in being turned away. If you are unsure, please get in touch to avoid disappointment.

As we offer two slightly different ranges of flat pack containers, this does mean they also offer slightly differing shelving options. If you would like shelving for your flat pack container, please let us know how much of the unit you would like to shelve, along with how many tiers and what UDL (uniform distributed load).

Between the two ranges, we can offer 30kg – 75kg UDL. Depending on the units we are quoting we will quote as close to your desired configuration as is possible with the unit.

The maximum number of shelves that can be accommodated per pair of uprights is three.

The shelves are sump shelves, designed to capture any leaks. The shelf uprights are the vertical supports that hold the shelf arms in place onto which, you place your sump shelves. The shelf uprights simply snap into place so, no need to drill holes in the unit.
