Product Description
This giant hazardous storage container was custom built for Balfour Beatty Rail division and delivered late 2018. Custom built to meet the customers spec this includes a 1300 litre bund (allowing for the storage of 1000 litre IBCs filled with hazardous liquids). This unit also includes 3x floor mounted 600 mm vents, and another 3 similar size vents on the opposite roofline, allowing for any potential gas escape to vent out of the container.
Finally we added in 3 sets of double doors along the side of the container to provide the best balance between price and access. This approach saved circa £8000 from the price if using a purpose built side opening container, whilst still maintaining a good degree of access should they need to fork lift out loaded IBC’s of goods. These doors all come with high security lock boxes and rain guards to help ensure these remain wind and watertight
Made from a used 40ft shipping container, these are by weight made from approx 70 % recycled materials. The structure is solid and sound and this should offer the customer 10+ Years of solid use with minimal to no maintenance. (all work and the structure is guaranteed for 12 months) If you ever need a longer expected lifespan we can work with a new (one trip) shipping container instead which should more than double the expected lifespan of any container or container conversion.
As a large amount of this job was modified to order, we can easily customise or alter any specification as required. The price shown here is based on re-building a container to this same specification – but of course most customers have slightly different needs.
