This shipping container personnel door is suitable for almost any purpose! Shipping container conversions are becoming more popular and these doors have been specifically designed for this use. They offer security while also looking good. We can even offer windows with security shutters to help complete your unit.

These heavy duty personnel doors are made from galvanised steel and are available in 3 widths, all of which have DDA compliant thresholds.

They come with draught and weather seals pre-fitted so fitting one of these will not compromises the wind and water tightness of your shipping container (as long as properly fitted!)

Door Orientation

With these personnel doors you have the option for which sides the hinges are and whether the door opens in or out. Please be aware, these options are from when viewing the door from the outside.

We do recommend choosing outward opening doors where possible. Inward opening doors are more expensive as these come with a weather kit.

The weather kit includes a heavy duty seal and a rain deflector. The seal can be screwed in and the rain deflector is designed to deflect water away from the bottom of the door, helping to protect the door from all weather conditions.

These weather kits can also be purchased for use with outward opening doors, but are not necessary.

We offer 3 widths in these doors – 910mm, 1100mm and 1210mm. All options are 2065mm tall.

These doors are not fire rated, however we can offer a fire rated* version, please get in touch.

*Shipping containers are not fire rated.

Fitting

This door is sold as supply and delivery only, we are not able to offer an on site fitting service with these. We recommend these are fitted by an experienced welder or a fabricator.

Delivery and Lead Time

These shipping container personnel doors are generally held in stock and delivery is usually around 3 – 5 working days.

If you do need your door in a hurry please get in touch. We can offer express shipping, or if you can, we can arrange for you to collect from our West Midlands warehouse.

Keys

This shipping container personnel door comes complete with a set of 6 keys as well as 2 ‘fitters keys’. You will have one master key and five standard keys.

Once the master key has been used the lock will then reject the fitters keys and these become useless. These fitter’s keys mean that if you subcontract the fitting they can not come back with the keys or get them copied so you have added security.

Our budget personnel door accessories are very popular and we can offer the below prices when accessories are purchased alongside at least one door from Budget Shipping Containers.

The single items (such as code lock, rain drip set, door closer, escutcheon, push plate, side and overhead panels, and the drop bar kit) are all supplied only, much like the doors they will need fitting by the client DIY.

The vision panels and louvre vents however will be supplied and fitted to the door prior to dispatch for the price below (adding circa 10 working days to the lead time) – if you want a price to just supply the vision panels or vents just ask!
