Shipping Container Cladded Garage
You don’t always have to spend your money on conversions if you are handy yourself. In April 2024, a customer purchased two used containers and turned them into a cladded shipping container garage. Converting your basic containers into cladded projects can be a wonderful way of disguising what they actually are. Although we have some very smart looking boxes, we understand not everyone wants a shipping container sat in their front garden!

The initial used 20ft container was turned into a cladded garage, done with a pre-existing container our customer had already purchased. Then taking a used 40ft container, adding a lick of paint and cladding, they created a smart storage unit. These matching projects completely elevated what would have been your average front garden.
When it comes to conversions, almost anything is possible. In some cases, less is more. Our customer has cut two apertures out of the side, cladded the exterior, and added in some heating and electricity. Cladding is a popular option of bringing new life to a used container, whilst saving some pennies in the purchasing process!
Used 40fts for Storage
Used shipping containers are one of the cheapest options offered. Whilst being less expensive they’re still a popular option when it comes to conversions as all are structurally sound and come with a wind and watertight guarantee (unless stated otherwise). From our used containers you should expect 10+ years of solid storage and with converting and maintenance, many more.
If you are after something a little smarter cosmetics wise, we wouldn’t always recommend a used container when looking to convert. Having been used by the shipping lines for years, they will have dents, surface rust and general wear and tear. If you weren’t planning on cladding your shipping container, you can easily smarten up your unit by going for a refurbished shipping container or even a one-trip shipping container.
