Plus Line Sanitary Cabin for Industrial Estate, Brixton
Welfare cabins can be a great addition to many sites. They can help expand a growing business or provide a space that was previously lacking. They are popular for both temporary and long-term projects and can be moved from site to site.
In this case, we supplied this plus line sanitary cabin to a customer who needed a toilet block for their site on an industrial estate. They had a warehouse space, but this didn’t have sufficient toilet access for the people on site. This sanitary container allowed our customer the ability to offer a smart, clean space, without taking away from the warehouse space.
We offer a range of Containex modular buildings. For more information and options, please take a look at our Modular Buildings.
Plus Line Sanitary Container
We offer two ranges of sanitary containers, Plus and Classic Line. Both of these options are made by European Modular Building manufacturer, Containex. Plus line units are taller and wider than Classic Line versions. The also have a higher quality interior and exterior fittings.
In this case, the customer wanted a unit that looked a bit more permanent than a standard portable sanitary block. They opted for a plus line unit as these units come with hidden plumbing and electrics. This gives the inside of the unit a much smarter, cleaner finish, much more like what you would see in a traditional bricks and mortar build.
Plus line units also come with optimal insulation in the walls, ceiling and floor. They have an suspended ceiling and LED lighting.
Disabled Access
In this case, the customer wanted a unit that would be suitable for DDA compliance. For this, the factory included a disable toilet, lower sink, hinged support rails and back support. There was also an emergency pull cord, with alarm and cancel switch.
Why Choose a Sanitary Cabin?

Portable
This unit is portable. It can be lifted by a crane and moved across site or from location to location. As it can be moved, its very good for sites that will need to move after a few weeks / months (builders, events), or may need to be moved within one site.
Building Regulations & DDA Compliance
Containex units can be designed to meet UK building regulations as well as meeting disability regulations if needed. We can supply drawings and spec sheets to help you get planning permission for your project (although you will still need an architect to help with this!).
Customisable
We build these units to order, so you can choose your layout and ensure it suits your space and requirements. You can pick you door positioning, windows even the plumbing and electrical connections.
Ready to Use
These units are a great option as they are set up ready to go – all you need to do is plumb them in and hook them up to electrics. Plus line sanitary cabins will need to be connected up to a main sewer connection and a fresh water supply.
As these units come with lights, water heater and heater you will also need to collect to electrics.
We do recommend having qualified plumbers and electricians sort this part out for you.
With these units, Containex supply drawing and spec sheets for your reference. They also supply a foundation plan which allows you to plan for the delivery and installation.
