Product Description
This range of 15ft refurbished shipping containers are made to order at your request. The 15ft container is made from a standard used container, of a bigger size. This can include either a 20ft or 40ft. It would be painted at your request, therefore is a great option if cosmetics is an issue and a new container isn’t within your budget. Due to this, however, please be made aware that the condition of the original container can vary. This could include scrapes or dents in the container, but we do assure you that the container will be structurally sound. However, if you are in the market for a container you intend to last you 10+ years without any maintenance, we would recommend a one-trip container.
Another thing to note is that when painting your container a light grey, white, or a very light colour / cream – this might be a premium cost. This is due to the need to double coat. Painting the inside of the container will only be done per your request. Otherwise, the inside of the container will not be painted.
In the case that you would be able to fit a 20ft container, we would recommend this option. This is due to the 20ft option being cheaper, as this is a standard size. This means they don’t need to be cut down, hence the cheaper cost.
When we cut up a larger container to make 15ft, we do work within the limits of the corrugations on the sides of containers. This does mean an approx. 10cm/4inch tolerance in the length, so please do let us know if you have an item of a specific size to put in the container. Or, if you have a specific space this container needs to fit into.
Door options
A 15ft container can come with a set original of cargo doors. These will be from when it was previously either a 20ft or 40ft container. It can also come with a new set of flat panel doors. These utilise a bar used for locking bar on the right-hand side when looking at the door.
Similar to our other containers we offer a wind and watertight guarantee. Despite the lack of rubber seal around the flat panel doors that it is able to come with, there is instead a ‘rain guard’ over the doors. You can find more information on the door options here.
Security
Refurbished containers come with a lockbox too. We do recommend a padlock additionally to help with security. Refurbished containers are generally available from 10-15 days from point of order to delivery. This can vary depending on whether we are at a busier point in the year, so please double check with us before ordering.
Forklift pockets for a 15ft container
Please note that due to 15ft containers being cut down from a 20ft or 40ft container, they likely won’t have forklift pockets, or they will be off centre. If you need either one, please make this information known to us when enquiring.
We can add forklift pockets if required by installing them or cutting down a 20ft container twice. This would be an extra cost due to the work required so please double check with us.
