20ft Multi Compartment Shipping Containers (One Trip / New)

These 20ft multi compartment shipping containers all come with 4 individual cargo style doors. Each going into it’s own, secure and partitioned unit inside the container, roughly 5ft wide x 8ft deep x 8ft high. Each compartment comes with a single locking bar for easy access and a high security lock box (padlock cover), and each door is equipped with a heavy-duty cargo style rubber seal.

We now also provide 40ft multi compartment containers with 8 individual and secure compartments.

These offer a clean crisper appearance overall when compared to units that are converted at one of our yards once they arrive into the UK. But they still offer fantastic overall value coming in cheaper than our made to order units of a similar spec.

This is a relatively new design of shipping container, there are a few factories offering slightly different designs to each other. Some offer standard marine plywood flooring, some have eco friendly and non porous bamboo flooring. Some designs offer a slightly different door configurations. As there are generally very few of these multi compartment shipping containers on the ground in the UK at any given time – we will naturally price you for the most competitive option and let you know the spec at the time. They can come with wipe clean sealed bamboo, more environmentally friendly than plywood with the bonus the surface is non-porous and won’t allow oils, paints or other nasty liquids into the floor material. (another big plus for self storage yards)

Each compartment in this example 20ft container is 2220mm deep, 1450mm wide and 2390mm high, door opening dimensions will be slightly smaller. The 40ft units will have similar dimensions..

For security our heavy duty padlocks offer a fantastic fit, and they can even be keyed to differ, individually stamped/numbered with a master key – allowing for easy management of multiple secure units.

Previous to this one trip (new) range, we have built similar units by modifying standard one trip containers. When aiming for a new quality / finish and also when trying to fit heavy duty container doors this gets extremely difficult and expensive to find suitable doors. This often leads to mismatched doors getting added to the shipping containers themselves. As the market for self-storage facilities has developed in the UK we think now is a good time to introduce this product.

Please be advised that these are sold as ‘one trip containers’ and are not brand new. All of our shipping containers are built in the factory in China or the far east and have done 1 trip into the UK since new. Some minor cosmetic wear may be evident from this initial trip. Minor dents and scrapes are reasonably common, as are tire marks inside your container where a fork lift truck or similar may have unloaded goods from inside the container.

Technical Information for 20ft shipping containers

Please note whilst we have tried to be as accurate as possible, some measurements (notably internal measurements) can vary slightly with the development and modernisation of manufacturing techniques over time. We recommend considering a circa 1 inch (2.5cm) tolerance. Where possible we have given a range on known variations in dims between ranges but we can’t guarantee this to be totally accurate for all ranges. If you have a specific sized problem or item to load that’s near these dims please double check with us in advance and if needs be we will get someone to measure the exact container for you.
