Product Description
These basic 40ft shipping container offices are ideal solution for a remote or site office. These units are made to order and highly customisable to suit your project.
This office is finished to a basic (no frills) standard and is ready to use as soon as it’s dropped to site and connected up to the electricity supply.
Basic Shipping Container Office Spec
While we build these units to order, we offer a standard spec which includes the modifications needed for a simple container office. Other modifications and add ons to the design will be POA.
40ft Used Shipping Container
These 40ft shipping container offices are produced from used containers as standard. We will give them a fresh repaint in dark green or dark blue. Other colours are also available but may be an additional cost.
As a used container, they will have dents, scratches and surface rust. However the repaint does smarten up the look of the unit.
You can also upgrade to a one trip container for a cleaner finish with less dents and no surface rust. If you need a super-smart unit that will be on show we would always recommend a one-trip unit. With a one trip container, we will touch up the worked areas with fresh paint.
When you order a container office we will take a suitable used shipping container into our conversion yard and begin work. Containers are checked over and, if required, repaired to wind and watertight standard.
What’s Included
With our basic spec, we will fit a steel security door and three windows with security shutters (945mm x 945mm). The container will be insulated and lined with 6mm plywood We can offer thicker ply or wipe-clean melamine if you’d prefer (at an additional cost).
If you’re going to be storing large items in your container office you may want to have the cargo doors left operational. If you won’t need to use these though we’d recommend that they’re welded shut. Welding the doors makes the unit more secure and gives a better finish internally.
Electrics will be surface mounted and include 4no. 5ft LED strip lights, 4no. double 13A sockets, distribution board with RCD (consumer unit), trunking etc and the external connection. These can be placed as you need with a few restrictions (we cannot put electrics onto the cargo doors for instance). When you order we’ll send a plan through to you to mark the positions for sockets etc.
