A Budget Shipping Containers Basic Office is an ideal solution for a remote or site office and can be modified to your specification.

This office is finished to a basic (no frills) standard and is ready to use as soon as it’s dropped to site and connected up to the electricity supply.

These 40ft shipping container offices are produced from used containers as standard – you can upgrade to a one trip container (if budget allows) for smarter cosmetics if you wish. If you need a super-smart unit that will be on show we would always recommend a one-trip unit. But if dents and creases in the corrugated sides are not an issue, or the container will be hidden away or used in an industrial area, then a used container may well be perfectly suitable and fit for purpose. We do NOT guarantee the cosmetics –  even a one trip unit may have dents or scratches consistent with its single trip loaded with cargo.

When you order a container office we take a suitable container into our conversion yard for the works. Containers are checked over and, if required, repaired to wind and watertight standard. The container will be insulated and lined with plywood (typically 6mm) or OSB. We can offer thicker ply or wipe-clean melamine if you’d prefer (at additional cost).

Electrics will be surface mounted and include 4 no. 5ft LED strip lights, 4 no. double 13A sockets, distribution board with RCD (consumer unit), trunking etc and the external connection. These can be placed as you need with a few restrictions (we cannot put electrics onto the cargo doors for instance). When you order we’ll send a plan through to you to mark the positions for sockets etc.

Windows (3 as standard) are 945mm x 945mm and include external steel security shutters. All external doors used are high security steel multi-point locking. Door and window positions can be specified to suit your site layout.

If you’ve opted for a one-trip container then paintwork around hot-works will be touched up to the original container colour. A standard used container conversion will be completely repainted externally in green RAL6007 or blue RAL5013. We can offer other colours if required (additional cost).

If you’re going to be storing large items in your container office you may want to have the cargo doors left operational. If you won’t need to use these though we’d recommend that they’re welded shut – this is more secure and gives a better finish internally.
