Ordinarily heavy duty bolt cutters are used to break the bolt seal on a shipping container. This can be a difficult task for even the most active and physical builds. These electrics bolt cutters can allow anyone to break the seals on a container and can help make this part of the importing or warehousing process more accessible. We have also found this in demand from sites that have someone on shift cutting the bolt seals and recording the bolt seal numbers separate to the warehousing operation, and for customs and other high volume operations that may have serious volumes of bolt seals to snip on a daily basis.
This lightweight yet powerful cutter has a high-quality action with a 12 mm opening width, perfect for majority of container bolt seals. They are also easy to use with one button controlling everything. Please double check the width of your standard seals on your import containers before purchase as very few can be thicker than 12mm. These are designed for containers in awkward places. When a container is sealed with minimum one bolt seal on the doors, they can be tricky to access. This problem can be compounded when the exporter uses more than one seal per container. A set of 4ft long bolt cutters may at times not be able to reach the individual bolts easily.
Please be advised this is a piece of heavy duty industrial equipment and should only be used by authorised persons. If these can cut through a 10mm steel bolt like butter, they can can do the same with fingers! Care should be taken when in use at all times.
