Product Description

The chequerplate floors we fit are designed to catch and hold any low-hazardous substances that could potentially spill or leak, preventing them from escaping into the ground/drains on your site. These conversions are very popular with customers storing low-hazardous goods in shipping containers and we are able to convert pretty much any container of the customers choosing.

In our East London depot we not only store shipping containers but also convert a number of containers including refurbished 10ft shipping containers, 30ft shipping containers and even side opening shipping containers (see three of the pictures above, they show a new 20ft side-opening shipping container with one of our chequerplate floor conversions)

By fitting a ‘lip’ around the base of your shipping container we can create a swill area for any excess fluid to sit. The chequerplate, replaces the standard ply floor, holds the liquid and gives a ‘wipe-off’ and easy to clean surface. We also fit a drain plug in the ‘lip’ so if there are any spillages or liquids they can be easily drained.

As well as floors most containers storing anything hazardous (even low hazardous goods giving off minor fumes) may need extra ventilation. We can add additional vents which will allow any possible fumes to vent out of the container, preventing build up of hazardous or potentially flammable gasses in the event of a leak or gas escape.

Regulations covering the specs required by your store will vary depending on what exactly you are storing and the quantity of it – So while we can supply you with whatever you ask for, we cannot verify if what we are supplying is suitable for what you’re storing. That responsibility remains with you.
