A shipping container serving hatch is a fantastic way of offering unobstructed access to serve or pass objects through a shipping container side wall. Ideal for a shipping container café, a shipping container bar, ticket booth or servery of almost any sort.

Gas Strut Serving Hatches
Made to order we can create almost any size serving hatch but will have to fit gas struts accordingly. This means prices can vary subject to requirements. We can fabricate these in our other depots, slight price variations will apply. As this is a bespoke build option as opposed to a standardised design, the exact spec may vary slightly between yards. If you need any particular feature please let us know and we can of course ensure this is included for you.
Our gas strut serving hatches are fitted in depot prior to delivery. They will have a frame, a weatherproof lip, handle, gas struts and internal locking bolts. We will also repaint to match the container colour (the affected area gets ‘paint matched’ as best we can on a used container really depending on the original container colour).
We recommend having these fitted on one trip or refurbished container. One trip containers come in standard RAL colours so matching hatches to the colour of a one trip container is not a problem although very minor paint differences are to be expected. We can also repaint the whole container at an additional cost. Refurbished units are repainted to order, so are easy to paint match the hatches. With either of these options you will have a smart finish.
They are secure and do not affect our wind and water tight guarantee.

Corrugated vs Flat Panel
We can offer 2 standard styles of gas strut serving hatch, corrugated and flat panel, both options will come with gas struts for opening. Our standard size is 8′ wide x 4′ high.
Flat panel versions will generally be more cost-effective. Whereas corrugated versions offer a more cohesive look as they are made from the containers steel.
