Why are containers so good for campsite storage?
Rather than having every bit of equipment & gadgetry on show, you can store items in a container that is customised for your site. We can supply a range of containers to suit your requirements, from older, used containers if they are tucked away from view to smarter, repainted or refurbished containers which are sometimes preferable if your container is clearly on show. We can also offer more customised containers such as external timber cladding which can help complement more natural surroundings or wooded areas. The possibilities are endless!

We would like to extend a big thank you to Steve for the photos below, which show off two very smart blue containers that we recently delivered to Brynhaul Camping and Shepherds Huts, in Maenclochog, Wales.
After Storm Arwen destroyed their original shower blocks in 2021, Brynhaul Camping and Shepherds Huts were in need of some suitable replacements. We delivered two new (one trip) blue shipping containers which our customer plans to turn into shower blocks himself!
The delivery of these containers presented us with a slightly more complicated task, as the winding roads and valleys of South Wales are not ideal for an arctic lorry to negotiate. Luckily we were able to improvise by using a rigid lorry with a drawbar trailer.
Fortunately, we have an excellent local haulier in the South Wales area with excellent local knowledge – both of which are invaluable when planning and coordinating a more challenging delivery! Within our UK-wide network of container yards, we have a site local to South Wales which made things a little easier.
Although these containers were delivered onto grass, the driver was able to deliver from the hard-standing ground adjacent to the site and did not have to drive across or pull up onto the grass.
It is important to remember that container lorries can only work on hardstanding surfaces such as tarmac or concrete. Some other surfaces may be acceptable (please always check this with us before confirming your order). Our drivers will refuse to run over any soft ground, or any ground where they fear getting stuck or damaging their truck.
This combined with winding road access, meant that this delivery took more planning and coordination than some. If you have a site that might present similar challenges we always ask that you speak to our team in detail beforehand (and preferably also send us some pictures so we can understand access better) and see what can be put in place to help! We are very experienced getting shipping containers into difficult-to-reach spots but the more information we have to start with, the better.
