This particular container was used as a shop at a festival, so the customer chose to add a few modifications on the inside. This was to help with the day to day running of the shop. However, there are plenty more conversion options to chose from to meet budgets and visions!
Custom Converted Shipping Container Shop Specifications
We have two options for piston operated hatches – corrugated or flat panel. Choosing flat panel are often a little more cost-effective, helping with budgets. Corrugated panels are made from the same material as the container. This creates a more cohesive look. Both options include gas struts to hold the panels open and are lockable and secure when closed. In this case, flat panels were chosen by the customer.
Adding electrics & lighting into the the container helps it stay nice and bright all day. As a result, on those cloudy British days, everything is still nice and visible all over. Running a shop requires plug sockets to be added around the container making it easier to set up appliances.
Plywood cladding on the inside has been added to improve the cosmetic appearance of the inside. Behind the plywood is a layer of insulation, this helps to prevent temperature fluctuations and prevent condensation build. This is good in a conversion like this as it helps to protect your stock while also making it a more comfortable place for staff and customers.
A smart, secure steel personnel door has also been added for ease of access for staff. This particular door is the Kirncroft personnel door.
Refurbished Shipping Containers for Conversion
Used shipping containers are cargo containers which have been retired from freight service. Once retired and in our depots, they are repaired to be wind and watertight. As they have been used for a good 15-20 years, they are likely to have cosmetic damage or wear and tear from years on the sea.
