Shipping Container Bar
We have just supplied this fantastic 10ft shipping container bar to a customer in East London!
Dan and the team at AEL contacted us a few months ago with a plan to create a shipping container bar for a client in East London. They had very specific requirements, from anything from the size of shelving to the exact treatment we had to use on the exterior cladding. We spent the time needed to talk through the whole project so no details were missed and then got our engineering team in Manchester to convert a new 10ft shipping container and turn it into a fully operation bar and kiosk.
We made all the structural modifications first, cutting off the original cargo doors, adding a service aperture and box section with piston operated serving hatch. Then we added the shelving, stainless steel back bar and sink, cupboards and shelves for the fridge, glasses and bottles to go on to and an external aperture for the keg pipes to run into bar.
We then began work to clad the interior of the container bar, including the shelves and the front bar itself. They wanted to fit out electrics and plumbing on these site so we provided the shipping container bar to their specifications allowing space for this. The serving hatch is lockable and supported with gas struts to allow for easy and safe opening and closing.
AEL Solutions wanted the wood clad to be treated with “African Sadolin” which gave it a very nice rustic finish to this already trendy looking bar conversion. Thank for to all the team at AEL and we hope to hear from you again the near future!
