In September 2020 (shortly before the world ended!) we were lucky enough to supply a shipping container to Arrow Garage in Redditch, for storage of occasionally used bits of large equipment they didn’t want cluttering up their main garage unit.

Once the order was confirmed, we delivered this container to the customer’s site in Redditch, using one of our hiab cranes which calls us to lift off the shipping container and put it on the ground on site. The customer went for a one-trip – AKA, a new quality container that has only made one trip to the UK since being manufactured in China. This gives the site a smart and neat-looking shipping container, that is likely to last 20+ years or more with minimal maintenance. As it is at the front of their unit and on display for site customers and visitors, this helps any site keep a smarter look and feel to their setup.
This is also likely to hold a strong resale value if sold at any time in the next 10+ years.
In all honesty, when a container is sitting static on site, there is very little that could go wrong with it. The door seals and locking gear will wear eventually, but with only occasional use this may also be well over 10 years before the customer might need to look at this. If you aren’t as mechanically minded as your typical garage employees, we can always quote to come out for maintenance or repair work required on a shipping container if needed.
