Product Description

Here we have an example of a 15ft second hand shipping container customised as a workshop. Repainted externally before being clad externally in 6×1 pressure treated timber this would be ideal on any site where a ‘shipping container’ may look too industrial! The timber cladding has been finished with trim on the top rails as well as the corner posts.

The doors are also cladded leaving the upper door beam on show and the corner edges but as neat as possible (this is left exposed for usability.) The right door has 2x deadlocks with keys to open them as appose to usual locking bars, which can be stiff on day-to-day use, as well as 2x spring bolts on the left door to stop it swinging open on its own when not in use.

To eradicate condensation the unit has been insulated with 25mm Kingspan and lined internally with OSB or ply-line.

There is an 18mm ply ‘L’ shaped workbench too with key-clamp style legs – very heavy duty. Complete with electrics, workshop spec metal sockets and switches: 3x doubles at counter height, 1x switch, 2x strip lights, 1x heater, 1x RCD, 1x blue plug externally for hooking up upon arrival. This unit is ready to plug in and play*

Also, as the corner casting and any previous lifting points have been cladded over we’ve fitted lifting eyes on top rail (for top chain lifting) as well as lifting lugs on bottom rails (for bottom chain lifting) so there should be issue us delivering with one of our Hiab crane equipped vehicles.

*All containers with electrics from Budget Shipping Containers can come with a Transportable Building Electrical Installation Schedule Certificate – this is an Electrical Test Certificate saying we’ve fitted, plugged in and tested all components on your container at our premise and checked they work (this excludes the ‘electrics pack’ which is a self-fit option on our flat pack containers but these components are manufacture tested and only supplied brand new) You will require a qualified electrician to connect all containers to your own electrics once on site and should you need a further Electrical Certificate specific to your site, the electrician you have installing will be able to provide this test certificate (Formal electrical test certificates are only valid at the address they are undertaken, so we cannot provide this certificate prior delivery.) As standard the Electrical Test Certs we supply will be a carbon copy of the signed document typically inside the container. Copies may be available on request.

The unit was converted in Manchester but we can offer delivery to any site (Subject to suitable vehicle access)
