Our one trip (new) 20ft shipping containers have all done one delivery trip over from China with freight inside. They won’t have been on any domestic hire jobs or used for any other imports so they are genuine new / one trip / fresh as you can get shipping containers. Typically around 6 months old we take regular deliveries into our UK depots. Commonly available in plain blue and green options.

The one trip shipping containers are as close to new as you can buy in the UK. They offer the best very long term value and we recommend them for long term storage use, or for when you need a neat and smart container on your site. They should last 2-3x the life of a used container, and will look a lot smarter than a used or refurbished shipping container. They will also hold a much better resale value should you want to sell them on in some years’ time.

Expect a lifetime of use from one of these containers when used for storage at your site.

With a one trip container, there may be one or two small imperfections consistent with its initial trip over from China but it will be in near perfect condition. Expect some minor paint scrapes on the end frames where port equipment has handled them, and perhaps the odd small dent or signs that a forklift or similar has been inside to load or unload cargo.

All one trip 20ft shipping containers come with a factory-fitted lockbox (padlock cover) for additional security. You will need a padlock that works with the lock box if you intend to lock it up. We will generally include a padlock with any quote we offer as a separate line item. You are not obliged to take it if you don’t want it.

Made from COR-TEN A grade steel, these shipping containers rust very slowly. As rust forms, the rust itself is non-porous and won’t let water through making them extremely resilient. If sat static on your site there’s really very little to go wrong with these containers. Although we offer a 12-month wind and watertight guarantee with every shipping container we sell, you should really expect up to a generation of quality use from one of these containers.

20ft one trip shipping containers commonly come with an ‘easy open’ right hand door as shown in this image of the blue container doors. The 3 bar versions (rather than the conventional 4 locking bars) are sold as an ‘easy open’ alternative. The locking bar handle on the right-hand door being much longer giving more leverage when opening. Please be specific at the point of order if this is essential. Please be advised that these are sold as ‘one trip containers’ and are not brand new. All of our shipping containers are built in the factory in China or the far east and have done 1 trip into the UK since new. Some minor cosmetic wear may be evident from this initial trip. Minor dents and scrapes are reasonably common, as are tire marks inside your container where a fork lift truck or similar may have unloaded goods from inside the container.

Technical Information for 20ft shipping containers

Please note whilst we have tried to be as accurate as possible, some measurements (notably internal measurements) can vary slightly with the development and modernisation of manufacturing techniques over time. We recommend considering a circa 1 inch (2.5cm) tolerance. Where possible we have given a range on known variations in dims between ranges but we can’t guarantee this to be totally accurate for all ranges. If you have a specific sized problem or item to load that’s near these dims please double check with us in advance and if needs be we will get someone to measure the exact container for you.
