Product Description
As a cost effective alternative to the new/onetrip 40ft tunnel shipping containers, we can now offer refurbished 40ft tunnel shipping containers! These 40ft tunnel containers are essentially the same as a standard container, but with a set of double cargo doors at each end (as opposed to one end only). Tunnel containers are either 40fts that we have modified, (i.e. had doors added to) or two cargo door ends chopped then professionally welded together to create a fantastic secure storage unit. Like all of our refurbished containers range this product would come with a fresh repaint in your choice of colour externally.
Self storage yards do find these containers to be very cost effective as they can add a partition in the middle and turn it into 2x 20ft storage containers, with the flexibility to add additional partitions and further doors into the sides to create even 4 x 10ft storage containers.
All of our shipping containers are checked over and repaired to a very high standard prior to sale, so you are guaranteed a structurally sound, wind & watertight shipping container with good working doors, fully intact door seals and a solid floor. All shipping container floors are made from circa 28mm thick marine grade plywood.
These shipping containers are all constructed from Corten (COR-TEN A grade) steel – an anti-rust alloy of steel. When rust does form on Corten steel it is non-porous (it won’t let water through the rust) meaning the metal underneath the surface rust is protected from the elements, which in turn means that these containers will last an extremely long time.
