Customisations:

As these units are built to order, almost anything can be customised including the following:

  • Size of the container: We can make these from any sized shipping containers as required.
  • One-trip or used containers: We can make these out of any quality of container. If you are looking for a longer lifespan, we heavily recommend a one trip container as you can expect 20+ years of solid use without minimal maintenance to the structure. A used container will offer about 10+ years of solid use, but it will be cheaper overall and means that the core structure for your unit is upcycled.
  • The size and position of the serving hatch can be to your needs. You can also have multiple serving hatches.
  • Type of wood that the cladding is made from, and the amount of sides that needs cladding (Not cladding the sides that will be against a wall will need cladding and offer you a saving).
  • Location of the doors, left or right hand opening, size of the door or if the door opens inward or outward (recommended to have outward opening for maximum room inside), level of security, and vision panels
  • Type of flooring: Lino, sealed vinyl and safety flooring such as Altro and Polyflor, are more popular for catering pods. Anything from office tile carpets to laminate flooring also be fitted.
  • The type and number of electric fittings and their location within the container:  This allows you to put the sockets, switches and other fittings exactly where you want them to best connect your appliances.
  • Sinks and plumbing can also be added too. We can cut holes to your specifications into the side of the container to allow you to fit our own sink with fresh and waste water connections.
  • Internal paneling can be changed too. Plywood and OSB board are our cheaper options, melamine and hygiene board are more expensive but are usually required if you are using the pod for catering. We can fit almost any internal panels you require.
  • With the high level of customisation, there is a huge range for potential use

Pricing these Retail pods

This example unit was priced around £14,500 + VAT. As these containers are highly customisable prices may vary.
