6ft Used or Refurbished Smoking Shelter
Our shipping container smoking shelters are a popular option for industrial sites and office settings. Made from recycled containers cut to size, and meeting requirements for min. 50% opening, these shelters are typically made from over 90% recycled materials. A refurbished container smoking shelter is made from an ex-shipping line container used for around 15 years before starting it’s new life as a set of smoking shelters. If you need one that’s going to be on show and needs to look smarter then our one-trip smoking shelters may be a better option – these are made from containers that have been used once only (for import into the UK) and are much younger and less likely to have cosmetic damage.
Our standard smoking shelters are 8ft wide and 10ft deep, this allows a small group of people to shelter from the elements and means we can produce 4 shelters from a 40ft container. We can work to other sizes though if you need a particularly big shelter, or one to fit into a specific space. As the standard width of a shipping container is 8ft – the shelters will always be 8ft wide, but we can make the length anything from 6ft right up to 40ft if needed.
Shipping Container Smoking Shelter Burscough near Leeds
This 6ft smoking shelter is a refurbished unit made for Vibro Menards site in Burscough near Leeds. The small size was needed to fit into an available space on their site. You can see in the picture that there is some denting and creasing in the metalwork, this is normal for a recycled used container and does not affect its use. You can also see the lifting eyes in the top corners of the shelter, these are to allow the unit to be delivered on a crane-equipped Hiab vehicle and can also be used to move it at a later date if required. We can supply smoking shelters with fork pockets to allow them to be moved around with a forklift on request, this example is not fitted with these.
You can have a smoking shelter in whatever colour you want, this one is blue RAL5013 which is one of our standard options (along with green RAL6007). If you need an unusual colour or multiple colours we can quote for this for you, the price will depend on the cost of paint and the complexity involved.
